You Have the Power presents Board Member Linda Davis with special guests Don Shafer, Lance Carpenter, Ryan Griffin and Les Kerr in concert on November 15, 2016, from 6:00PM to 8:30PM at the Cabana (1910 Belcourt Avenue, Nashville) for its Powerfully Thankful Musical Event & Silent Auction, hosted by renowned radio personality Devon O’Day.

Linda Davis

LINDA DAVIS: A 1993 Grammy for her collaboration with Reba McEntire on “Does He Love You” and an induction into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame puts Linda Davis at the top of the country music ‘food chain’ as she continues to produce hit tunes. Take this summer’s top-100 “Love Remains” album and #1 lead Christian single titled “Thy Way.” Led by daughter Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum fame, the entire Scott Family including youngest daughter Rylee and husband Lang came together with Hillary to create music magic. You’ll see evidence of that sparkle as Davis leads the lineup for Powerfully Thankful. Photo Credit

Don Shafer

DON SHAFER: Don Shafer comes to YHTP’s terrific musical evening fresh from his October ‘tour of duty’ on NBC’s The Voice. Country superstar Blake Shelton turned his chair to embrace the talented singer, who has also been chosen by Shania Twain, Barbara Mandrell and the late George Jones as their opening act in the past. Shafer currently gigs around town and across Tennessee with a cover band called Classic Rock All Stars. Photo Credit

Lance Carpenter

LANCE CARPENTER: Lance Carpenter may have grown up on an Arkansas cattle farm, but since settling into Nashville’s vibrant singer-songwriter community he has established himself as quite the hit-maker. Carpenter co-wrote Kelsea Ballerini’s #1 tune “Love Me Like You Mean It,” and he’s got more in the works. Carpenter relies on his laid-back country persona to keep him grounded as he performs with country superstars such as Luke Bryan and Toby Keith. Photo Credit

Ryan Griffin

RYAN GRIFFIN: At two years of age, Ryan Griffin told his parents, “I’m going to be a country music singer.” When he turned 18, he came to Nashville and landed a gig as tour manager for current Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean, even while continuing to work on his vocal performance and gut-wrenching lyrics. In fact, Griffin has gotten so good at it that he’s landed opening slots for headlining acts Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Easton Corbin and more. Photo Credit

Les Kerr

LES KERR: A mainstay of the Nashville country music scene since 1987, Les Kerr’s latest album titled Contributor filled with self-penned tunes took its name from the widely known weekly newspaper sold on our Nashville streets. Melding several musical genres together to create his own unique brand of “Hillbilly Bluegrass Caribbean Rock ‘N Roll,” Kerr has crafted numerous cuts for award-winning artists like The Cluster Pluckers and Barefoot Man.
